We created a website and brand visuals to showcase the welcoming atmosphere and serene retreats by Cloth and Clay hosted at The Hill in St. Francisville, Louisiana.
the branding process
PRELIMINARY DESIGNS
Cloth & Clay is a ministry focused on helping people heal and find peace throughout the grieving process. For their initial design, we wanted to choose a color scheme with calming teal and cream hues. The dark teal plays homage to the lake located at The Hill, the location for the ministries’ retreats. To represent a feeling of peacefulness, we choose a subtle script font.
FINAL DESIGN
We designed the logo, launched the website, and directed photography & videography to showcase this beautiful ministries’ mission. We opted for a whimsical and clean design with a calming feel. The red logo and font contrasts with the background and makes the brand pop off the page. For the logo design, we went with interlocking Cs that almost look like they are embracing. We chose this design because Cloth & Clay is a welcoming ministry that makes you feel at home and safe. Everything we chose for this brand exudes a calming, relaxing feel that makes you feel like you are sitting by the lake at The Hill, taking in the breeze.
ABOUT THE CLIENT
Cloth & Clay is a ministry and lifestyle blog created by Kristy Furlow. Through her ministry, she tells the story of her experience with grief as her husband, Clay, went to be with the Lord in 2017 after battling cancer. Kristy has been guiding others through the grief process through her blog posts and retreats hosted at The Hill in St. Francisville, Louisiana. She encourages others to see their true purpose in life through a strong faith in God. The goal of her ministry is to see believers walking in surrender, hope, and joy!
